It is not just a creating tables, etc. It’s a visualisation of key measures relevant to a particular objective or business process.  A dashboard consists of three key attributes

  • KISS
  • Avoid an overwhelming DataMART
  • Be conservative with formatting and chart junk
  • Limit each dashboard to one viewable page or screen
  • Use layout and placement to draw focus
